UC Berkeley Suicide Prevention Walk

This year, over 35 campuses across the country will be holding walks to prevent suicide, the second leading cause of death among college students. With thousands participating nationwide, each person is contributing their voice to break the silence surrounding suicide.

On April 7th, we will be holding the 2nd annual UC Berkeley Suicide Prevention Walk, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Proceeds will benefit both local and national mental health and suicide prevention and awareness programs: 50% of the proceeds from the walk will go to support suicide prevention programs for the bay area chapter of AFSP and 50% will support suicide prevention nationally.

By walking you are supporting many beneficial eduction and prevention programs right here at Cal, including the Interactive Screening Program at the Tang Center which was implemented from the funds raised from the 1st UCB walk.

Together we can break the silence. Together we can start speaking out.
